RECOMMENDATIONS
To ensure that your tourist experience is as suitable as possible, we recommend the following:
Weather and climate
● In Cajamarca, there is a chance of medium-level rain from October to December. From January to April there is a high chance of rain, mainly in the afternoons, which is why it is recommended to bring an umbrella, plastic sheet or a rain poncho.
● In the months from May to September we have mainly dry temperate weather with sunny days in the mornings and clear or partially cloudy skies in the afternoons.
● The month with the highest temperature is September (22.2°C); the lowest temperature occurs in the month of July (4.9°C); and it rains more intensely in the month of March (118.78 mm/month) Source: Senamhi Peru
Outfit
● Bring comfortable and light clothing such as windbreakers and long-sleeved polo shirts to walk so you don't get too hot quickly. Sometimes when the altitude is equal to or greater than 3200 meters above sea level, you should bring warm and/or waterproof clothing, gloves and a hat to keep warm. If necessary, bring boots to walk in mud if the tour requires it.
● We always recommend wearing a hat or cap, sunscreen, sunglasses and sneakers or comfortable walking shoes, so that the client is protected from solar radiation, dust, wind, etc., which are typical situations of outdoor activities.
Health and care
● It is important that before taking any tour or trip, the client undergoes a medical check-up and informs the guide or manager if he or she suffers from any physical health condition, illness, injury or other specific condition to take into account possible occurrences during the tour; in order for the tour to run smoothly. If the client is not in optimal condition to take the tour, contact the person in charge of the Agency, since the company is not responsible for any type of incident outside of the regular or everyday.
● Consider bringing a rehydration drink of your choice to stay hydrated during the tour and light foods such as fruit or snacks to recharge your energy.
Security
● The client must carry his/her identity document (DNI) or foreigner's card throughout the entire trip.
● The client must not separate from the group and must also have communication equipment to be in contact with the guide or tour manager in case he or she separates from the group.
● Provide an emergency contact that the agency can contact in case of any extraordinary event, incident or accident during the tour.
● Always carry your belongings safely, as the agency is not responsible for any loss of property of any kind.
● The client is obliged to follow the instructions, inductions and recommendations provided by the sales agent and/or guide before and during the tour.
● Do not carry objects that are considered a danger to your fellow group members and the people with whom you will be taking the tour.
● The client must take care of the tourist destination they visit; that is, avoid leaving litter, damaging the facilities or other forms of negative impact on the place.
● Respect the customs, traditions and other ways of life of the population visited.
● If you use the lodging service, you must declare valuables when checking in at your hotel so that your belongings can be protected.
